The 100: 5 Things I Noticed While Doing A Rewatch

Image
I’m not ashamed that I give myself The 100 rewatches (perhaps too often?), as I enjoy re-exploring the show’s many offerings. And may I remind you that the dystopian series has plenty of Praimfaya flames to contain in terms of storylines, characters, and twists. So, it’s an ongoing journey as you uncover embers that are still flickering. With my latest rewatch of one of the best shows ever to hit the television waves, I caught even more material that truly brought out the thesis. With my sincerest apologies for sounding like I’m bragging, I’ve rewatched The 100 an infinite number of times . Each “adventure” hits a little differently as new elements slither in. Moreover, the emotional roller coasters are dangerously curved. This is because we invest solely in the characters and their stories. When you think of The 100, the Emmy-nominated dystopian series that was on the CW Network from 2014 to 2020. But did you know it all began with a book of the same title? It was written by NYT best-selling author Kass Morgan in 2013. Three sequels followed. While much of the books’ content differed greatly from the show, some elements remained. The four main characters- Bellamy, Clarke, Octavia, and Wells- were craftily ingrained into the series with slight differences. The 100 Season 3: Everything That Made It Impossible to Stop Watching

Season three of The 100 came out swinging. It did not ease you in slowly. Right from the start, things were different, tense, and honestly a little scary in the best way. If you want   the 100 season 3 summary that actually captures what made it special, here it is. New threats showed up. Old alliances broke apart. Characters who felt safe were suddenly in danger. It was the kind of season that made fans talk for days after each episode aired. A lot happened, and most of it mattered. A New Threat Nobody Saw Coming Before season three, the big dangers were other groups of people. This time, a new kind of enemy arrived. ALIE, an artificial intelligence, started pulling people under her control. And the scary part was that the people she controlled looked totally normal. They smiled. They talked. They seemed fine. But they were not themselves at all. This shift in the type of threat the characters faced was bold and fresh. It gave the whole season a creepy, unsettling tone t...

Two Performances That Made The 100 Impossible to Forget

Not every show gets lucky with its cast. The 100 did. Right from the early seasons, viewers noticed something different about this show. The acting felt real. It felt lived in. A big part of that came from alycia debnam carey the 100 , whose role as Commander Lexa gave the show one of its most powerful figures. She brought a stillness to the hard character to look away from. Lexa did not shout to be heard. She just was, and that presence shaped so much of what made the show worth watching week after week. Alycia Debnam-Carey Brought Lexa to Life Playing a warrior leader is not easy. You have to sell the strength without making the character feel flat. Alycia did that and more. She found the soft edges inside Lexa, the grief, the longing, the exhaustion of always having to be in control. There were scenes where she barely spoke, and yet you felt everything. That kind of acting is not common on any show, let alone a sci-fi drama on a network channel. Fans talked about her constan...

The Characters That Made The 100 Impossible to Stop Watching

Not every TV show creates a world you want to keep coming back to. The 100 did. A big part of that came down to its characters, and not just the main ones. The the 100 grounder characters brought something raw and different to every scene they were in. They had their own culture, their own rules, and their own way of seeing the world. That mix of sky people and grounders made the show feel alive. Once you got pulled in, it was very hard to look away. A World Built on Two Very Different Sides The show put two groups of people together who did not trust each other at all. The sky people came down from space and had no idea what life on the ground was really like. The grounders had survived on their own for a long time and were not about to hand that over easily. That clash gave the story real energy. Every meeting between the two sides felt like it could go wrong at any second. That tension kept viewers locked in from the very first episode right through to the end. Grounder C...
